Shut the main first. Everything else in water damage is downstream of how fast you stop the water.

Then cut power to affected areas if water is near outlets or the panel – but do not enter standing water to do it. Photograph everything before moving anything; it settles claim disputes. Start extraction immediately rather than waiting for an adjuster.
